He loves to walk in rain with me
Marshy land and hazy glee
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You’ve been to Daddy’s office
You’re always there for service
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You’ve seen the school and market
The long and hollow jacket
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You splash the water over
Naughty children hover
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
My Yellow fellow..!!
Marshy land and hazy glee
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You’ve been to Daddy’s office
You’re always there for service
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You’ve seen the school and market
The long and hollow jacket
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
You splash the water over
Naughty children hover
How lucky are you,
My yellow fellow mackintosh!
My Yellow fellow..!!

ha. but very fun...raining here as well! and that is a good thing...
This perfectly compliments the rainy weather here :) Your piece is so fun, and was such a delight to read.
To be joyful in the splash and refreshing feel of rain, to appreciate the gift it is to garden, stream, river and the many seas, is to be ONE with the flow, libation sweet. And so indeed, "How lucky are you, My yellow fellow mackintosh!."
this is lovely.....:-) Hugs

The repetitions work so great, I personally like ballads because of the repetitions, just like singing a song.
keep it coming!
Waiting to read a new poem...
Have always loved your 'rain poems' :)
3 months and still waiting....
Some poem, something on rain,
Some story, something on life...
